Long Island Elite Selects United Cerebral Palsy (UCP)

of Long Island as its 2022 Charity Partner of the Year

The Long Island Elite is proud to announce United Cerebral Palsy (“UCP”) of Long Island as its charity partner for 2022.

For more than 70 years, UCP of Long Island has positively affected the lives of people with disabilities through the outstanding quality of programs and services it offers and the compassion it conveys to those it serves. UCP of Long Island is committed to advancing the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with disabilities. Its mission is to provide life skills training, education, advocacy, meaningful employment and a place to call home for Long Islanders with a wide range of disabilities. The organization proudly upholds the values of excellence, integrity, dignity, empowerment, responsibility, accountability, vision and innovation.

The money raised by the Long Island Elite for United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island in 2022 will allow for the development of a specially designed outdoor playground that will safely accommodate the 75 plus students at its Children’s Center, located in Commack. The plans for this outdoor playground have been in the making for many years, and now, through its 2022 partnership with the Long Island Elite, those plans will become a reality.

“Our members are excited to support UCP of Long Island on this project knowing that the playground will be used by the children of Nassau and Suffolk Counties for many years to come, said Long Island Elite President Frank Morizio, Jr.”

The Children’s Center has provided over 35 years of excellence in educational services including early intervention, preschool, and school-age programs tailored to meet the physical, cognitive and emotional needs of children with disabilities from birth to 21 years of age. Year round programs, screenings, evaluations, therapies, home or center-based instruction, support groups and assistive technology services are offered.

Since 2002, the Long Island Elite’s efforts have positively affected the lives of those in the local community through proactive fundraising efforts by its members and friends. Dedicated to giving back to its local community, the LIE takes a leadership role in helping Long Island not-for-profits and community organizations meet their fundraising and awareness goals.

The LIE looks forward to its partnership with UCP of Long Island in 2022 and continuing its history of successful and impactful fundraising for Long Island based not-for-profits.
